WEBSITE HISTORY
Queen Remedi Publishing Group was founded by chiefyamaki on April 2004. At first, there wasn't a website at all, and it started as a dream. The first creation with the copyright "QRPG" in it was a Microsoft PowerPoint file, featuring Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, written by chiefyamaki himself, using GameSpot stuffs. Nothing really happened during the period of the year.
Not until January 2005, chiefyamaki started a website using Bravehost as it’s web hoster. Nothing was made out of it, with the first layout a total failure. At this time, no efforts was made to improve the website, and it was just left there. At first, the all the datas (both FFTA and Digimon) were mixed into a single website, known as "Queen Remedi Publishing Group". Then improvements started. chiefyamaki was no longer known as chiefyamaki, but he adopted a new name: Crystal Yamaki. On March 08 2005, a huge upgrading started. The datas for FFTA on the site was removed temporarily, leaving Digimon stuffs behind. A background, a new Splash page, and a new banner, version: The Adventurer's Battle was uploaded. A name was given to the Digimon website: "Digimon Destiney", named after a forum which linked back to the website. New external links were added too on the right navigation. And then on March 13 2005, QRPG joined it's first topsites: RyuX Topsites. Not much efforts were made during this period, but it's also at this period, that Kristal Guild Webpage was borned. Then the next thing happened brought QRPG a big step ahead.
On May 21 2005, QRPG had it's first affiliate: Digimon Era. At that time, Digimon Era was a small website, and it agreed to affiliate with QRPG. Due to some issues, on June 10 2005, Crystal Yamaki closed down Kristal Guild Webpage. Many pages on the website was written and added. On June 22 2005, Gavin, the webmaster of Digimon Era, made a banner for Digimon Destiney. But unforturnately, on the next day (June 23 2005), Crystal Yamaki's computer crashed. The computer's C: Drive had to be re-formatted. The database of the website was deleted among the formatting. The banner wasn't uploaded. On June 28 2005, QRPG was closed down temporarily for database backup and a few changes in update. QRPG also Re-registered in RyuX topsites. Then on July 7 2005, the whole website was re-opened, and Clan Rayburn was released. On July 10 2005, QRPG took another step ahead by moving it's host to Ketsukaiten.net, a more stable host with 50MB (similar to Bravehost, but without advertistments and pop-ups), thanks to Nite Phire, the domain's owner and site webmaster. Later on, on August 25 2005, Crystal Yamaki merged Clan Rayburn and Digimon Destiney into it's own folder on the website. On October 7, Digimon Destiney was affilated with a new website, namely: The Digital Dimension. The website's webmaster, Glendi, is quite an active Saybox poster, and he gave a lot of advice. Until finally on the 11th of November 2005, Crystal Yamaki decided to change a layout, which has SSI and cutenews support. But somehow CuteNews isn't working... and so, CY dropped the CuteNews idea, and worked on something else. On November 30, as promised, CY released the layout with the theme "Our Destiny". Nextly, CY applied to join a few Digimon Network sites, such as Digital Network Connection, The Digimon Community and The DigiDollar Network, to promote Digimon Destiny. On 15 December 2005, thanks to Chris from RyuX Network Forums, CY changed the Affiliates parts on the right navigations to a mouse-over type, just like most Digimon Fansites would do to their afiliates. On 19 December 2005, Digimon Destiny was officially accepted into The Digimon Community network. On 21 December, Digimon Destiny and Clan Rayburn got it's 10,000th hit, and Glendi presented the website a congratulatory award. At around this time, Yagami, the co-owner of "DigimonLovers" Digimon Yahoo! Group, appeared. He applied for a job in Digimon Destiny, and was accepted as a Picture Finder and a News Updater. Meanwhile, Glendi suggested that The Digital Dimension and Digimon Destiny be Partner sites, and CY was okay with it. On the first update of the year 2006, which was on 3rd January, CY applied for affiliation with The Blue Card, and it's webmaster, JKaizer, agreed to affiliate. On 21 January 2006, CY started to use SmartFTP to upload files, instead of depending to Microsoft FrontPage. CuteNews was sucessfully uploaded to the server. But somehow, Cutenews were acting strangely, and therefore, it wasn't officially used. Then come 22 February 2006. CY just came back from his Chinese New Year holidays. At around this time, the so-called "fifth-season" of Digimon were confirmed. Many new Digimon Fansites were created. Yagami created a website of his own, and named it "Digimon Go", and it was affiliated with Digimon Destiny, as CY agrees to. Cutenews was officially removed from the server. Then on 26 February, Myst, the webmaster of another Digimon fansite, Azala, applied for affiliation with Digimon Destiny, and CY accepted the affiliation too. At around March 2006, in less than 3 months from 10,000th hit, Digimon Destiny received it's 20,000th hit once again. But also at around this time, Glendi decided to close down his website, The Digital Dimension, and re-create a Final Fantasy site. On 25 March 2006, Rachel Oei was accepted into the staff team as Page Writers. Then on April 10, QRPG celebrated it's first anniversary, and a splash featuring Watanuki from xxxHolic were added. On 22 April, Andrew of "Digimon Squared" sent an e-mail stating confirming the addition of Digimon Destiny into DCN. In May 2006, The Digital Dimension website had reopened. Re-affiliation was applied for and our two websites are affiliates again, although no longer partner sites. Also in May 2006, we've hit 30k hits. June 2006 was an active month as many affiliates were gained and lost. One of Digimon Destiny's affiliates had closed down. It was Digimon Escape. Digimon Destiny affiliated with the website for a mere 3 months (since March 2006). Also in June 2006, Azala moved to its own server from JKaizer, while Digimon Go moved to Valerauko. Both didn't last long though. Another Digimon Website promoting the Korean Online RPG, DigiNuke, affiliated with us in this month. Rike Fire had also affiliated with us in this month, too. Nothing notable happened between June till July. In August, Shining Seraphimon had requested for affiliation with Digimon Destiny for his website "The Digimon Extreme" and we had gladly accepted it. TDE was one of the longest surving Digimon websites, alive as of June 29 2008 after a name change to "The Digital Dive". Around sometime in September, JKaizer's The Blue Card was closed down. Despite losing an affiliate, we gain another one, and that is Asobu, Azala's sister site. Sueko, Asobu's webmaster, was a really nice person. Also in September, Digimon Destiny reached 50k hits. A splash with a feather drawn in the sand was featured, thanking our visitors. November, Digimon Destiny had accepted Wolfy-chan's website, There For You. There For You was the first shrine website that had affiliated with Digimon Destiny. In December, The Digital Dimension was closed down. The subsequent year, 2007, many of Digimon Destiny's affiliates went down, and this included Digimon Go, Digimon Backup, Digimon Era, CartooNetworkGamers, Rika Fire, The Digital Dimension and The Digital Frontier Network. They never reopened. In May 2007, Digimon Destiny reached 100k hits but the celebration was cold. In July 2007, Digimon Destiny & Azala was somewhat hacked and a trojan virus had infected files in the website. A warning was sent out and Nite Phire was alerted of this. The cause of this was never found out but soon it was solved. In August, the owner of the internet domain ‘digimondestiny.com’ had contacted me. The person, DoruGatomon, the administrator of the Digital Destiny Forums, had bought the domain without realizing that there’s another site with the exact same name. An agreement was reached and DoruGatomon agreed to buy and use another domain for his website and would rename it. The website was renamed to Digimon Dynasty. Digimon Dynasty also requested for affiliation but due to some technical problems with CY's ISP, CY was unable to view the site and had to reject the offer. As of 29 June 2008, Digimon Dynasty is down. Activity between August to December was minimal. There was totally no activity between December 2007 to April 2008. On 24 May 2008, CY received a notice from Nite Phire on a server change. Digimon Destiny was subsequently down from a period from 29 May till 4 June and when it was reopened, a new layout was implemented: Version 4 Biyomon's Resolve. It was the first time PHP and Cutenews were successfully implemented. However so, the website suffered a troumendous drop in visitors from search engines. - last updated on 29 June 2008. |
