Digimon Data Squad, also known as Digimon Savers in Japan, is the fifth series produced as part of the Digimon franchise. Despite having lower art quality, this series was to take in a wider age group, and was aimed to also appeal to late teens, with one of its main characters as old as 18 years old. Main characters of the series happen to be members of DATS, an organisation dedicated to keeping peace between the Digital World and the Real World. An important concept in the series is the Digi-Soul, or D.N.A in the English dub, the main medium by which the humans in the series evolve their Digimon.
